Export Table Data

Export

Let Visitors Download Your Table as CSV or Excel, or Print It

Customers want the price list in Excel. Members want to print the schedule. Instead of keeping separate files in sync, add export buttons to the table itself. The download always matches what is on the page.

What's inside: CSV export, Excel export, print button, visible or all columns, filtered or all rows, strip HTML tags, button position, full export of server-side tables.

What You Get

CSV and Excel

One click gives visitors a file they can open in Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet app.

Print

A print view of just the table, without your site's menus and sidebars.

The Rows They Filtered

Visitors can export only the rows matching their search, or everything, and only the visible columns, or all of them.

Clean Cell Contents

Strip HTML tags so links, icons and formatting do not end up as code in the spreadsheet.

Buttons Where You Want Them

Choose the button position so the export controls fit your layout.

Works With Large Tables

For server-side tables Tabulizer loads all rows for the file, then returns the table to the page the visitor was on.

How It Works

  • In the Table Wizard, tick Export as CSV and/or Excel. Choose whether to strip tags and where the buttons go.
  • Save the ruleset and apply it to your table or data source.
  • Done. Update the data and the downloads update with it. There is no second file to maintain.

Good Fit For

Price lists for resellers, product specifications, event and course schedules, sports results, member lists for committees, and public data that researchers want to analyze.

Questions

Do visitors need an account to export?

No. If they can see the table, they can use the buttons. Leave export off for tables you do not want downloaded.

Will the export keep the sort order?

Yes. The file follows the order the visitor sorted the table in.

Can I export only some columns?

Hide the columns you do not want shown, and visitors can export visible columns only.
