Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be available for Tabulizer software, memberships, downloads, digital content, support access, and related services.
Last updated: October 20261. Summary
Tabulizer is a digital software product and online service. Because digital software, downloadable files, rulesets, documentation, and membership access can be copied, downloaded, installed, and used immediately, we apply a strict refund policy.
Please review the product description, feature pages, demo pages, online wizards, requirements, documentation, and support policy carefully before purchasing.
2. Digital software products
Tabulizer products may include digital downloads, Joomla extensions, WordPress plugins, ruleset archives, online wizard-generated files, documentation, support access, membership areas, updates, and related digital services.
Unlike physical goods, digital software cannot be meaningfully returned after delivery. Once a user has obtained access to the downloadable product or membership resources, the product may already have been copied, installed, backed up, or used.
For this reason, apart from the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union (section 4), we apply a strict refund policy for digital products.
3. When a sale is final
A purchase becomes final:
- for consumers in the European Union, when the 14-day withdrawal period of section 4 ends;
- for business customers and customers outside the European Union, once we have activated the membership, provided download access, or otherwise delivered the digital product or service.
After that, you cannot return downloaded software for a refund or credit in the way you might return a physical product, unless mandatory law provides otherwise (section 9).
4. 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union
If you are a consumer in the European Union, meaning that you buy for purposes outside your trade, business, craft, or profession, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason.
The 14 days start on the day you complete your purchase. This right applies even if you have already downloaded Tabulizer or used your membership during that time.
How to withdraw. Before the 14 days are over, tell us clearly that you withdraw from your purchase: open a help desk ticket or email us at info@alterora.com. Please include your name, the email address of your account, and your order number. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.
It is enough that your message reaches us before the 14 days are over.
What happens next. We refund the full amount you paid, including any taxes, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. The refund is made with the same payment method you used, through our payment partner (section 12), at no cost to you. When you withdraw:
- your membership ends, together with access to downloads, updates, support, the online wizards, and the Premium Rulesets;
- you must stop using the Premium Rulesets and remove them from your websites, because their license (see the License Information) ends with the purchase;
- the rights you have under the GNU General Public License for the Tabulizer software itself are not affected.
5. Please check before purchasing
Before purchasing a Tabulizer membership, download, or related product, we strongly recommend that you:
- review the product description and feature pages;
- try the available online wizards where applicable;
- review demo pages and examples;
- read the documentation and support policy;
- check the technical requirements for Joomla, WordPress, PHP, database, and server environment;
- confirm that the specific feature you need is supported;
- contact us before purchasing if you are unsure whether Tabulizer meets your requirements.
If a specific feature is important to your project and it is not clearly mentioned in the feature pages, documentation, or product description, please contact us before purchasing.
6. Situations that do not provide a basis for refund
Within the 14-day withdrawal period of section 4, consumers in the European Union can withdraw for any reason. Outside that period, and subject to your mandatory rights under section 9, the following situations do not, by themselves, provide a basis for a refund:
| Situation | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Expected features were not included | A refund is not normally provided because the product does not include a feature you expected, unless the feature was advertised by us as included. |
| An answer from the AI Assistant | The AI Assistant can make mistakes. Our feature pages, documentation, and published terms describe what Tabulizer includes, not answers generated by the AI Assistant. |
| You changed your mind | A change of mind does not qualify for a refund once the purchase is final (section 3). Consumers in the European Union can withdraw within 14 days of purchase (section 4). |
| You bought the wrong product | Please review product details before purchasing. Contact us before purchase if you are unsure. |
| You found bugs | Software bugs should be reported so we can investigate and fix them where appropriate. The existence of a bug does not automatically create a refund entitlement. |
| Conflicts with other extensions or plugins | Conflicts with third-party Joomla extensions, WordPress plugins, themes, templates, scripts, caching tools, or hosting configurations do not automatically qualify for a refund. |
| Missing server requirements | A refund is not normally provided because your server is missing required PHP libraries, database drivers, character sets, memory, execution time, or other resources. |
| Performance limits on your hosting account | Shared hosting limits, low PHP memory, low max execution time, blocked AJAX requests, or insufficient server resources are not normally grounds for refund. |
| Lack of technical knowledge | A refund is not normally provided because the user lacks knowledge of Joomla, WordPress, PHP, SQL, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, hosting, or server administration. |
7. Bugs, defects, and conflicts
If you find a bug, please let us know. We will make reasonable efforts to investigate confirmed defects and resolve them in a timely manner, according to the Support Policy and the active support period associated with your membership or purchase.
A reported issue may be caused by many different factors, including:
- Tabulizer itself;
- the Joomla or WordPress version used;
- PHP version or missing PHP extensions;
- database configuration;
- theme, template, plugin, module, or extension conflicts;
- JavaScript or CSS conflicts;
- server security, caching, firewall, or hosting restrictions;
- incorrect configuration or unsupported use.
We may ask for additional information so that we can reproduce and investigate the issue. A refund is not automatically issued simply because a bug or conflict has been reported.
8. Server requirements and hosting limitations
Tabulizer depends on the hosting environment, CMS configuration, PHP version, PHP extensions, database access, file permissions, memory limits, execution time, and other server-side settings.
Some features may require specific server capabilities. For example, reading Excel files, connecting to databases, processing large datasets, using remote data sources, or rendering advanced output may require adequate PHP memory, execution time, file access permissions, database drivers, or supported PHP libraries.
A refund is not normally provided because your web server:
- does not include required PHP libraries or extensions;
- does not support a required character set or encoding;
- does not have the needed PDO driver for a database connection;
- has insufficient PHP memory limit;
- has insufficient max execution time;
- blocks remote file access, API calls, AJAX requests, or downloads;
- uses restrictive security rules, firewall rules, or hosting limitations;
- cannot run examples or demos shown on the website due to local resource limits.
9. Consumer rights and mandatory law
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit consumer rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, you have legal rights that apply to digital content and digital services. In particular, if Tabulizer does not work as described and we cannot fix the problem within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund.
10. Possible refund exceptions
Although refunds are generally not offered after digital delivery, we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
We may consider a refund or other remedy where:
- we are required to do so by applicable law;
- payment was duplicated by mistake;
- a billing or payment processing error occurred;
- you purchased the wrong product and have not downloaded, accessed, or used it;
- we are unable to provide access to the purchased product for reasons under our control;
- we expressly agree in writing to provide a refund in a specific case.
Any refund granted outside mandatory legal requirements is discretionary and does not create an obligation to provide refunds in other cases.
11. How to request a refund review
All other refund requests are handled by us. If you believe your situation qualifies for a refund, please open a help desk ticket or email us at info@alterora.com, and provide enough information to review the request.
Please include:
- your full name;
- the email address used for the purchase;
- your order number or transaction reference;
- the product or membership purchased;
- the purchase date;
- whether the product has been downloaded or accessed;
- a clear explanation of why you are requesting a refund;
- screenshots, error messages, or supporting information where relevant.
We may ask for additional information before making a decision. We aim to reply to refund requests within 5 business days.
12. How refunds are paid
Payments for Tabulizer are processed by our payment partner, 2Checkout (Verifone). Your order confirmation and the charge on your card or bank statement may therefore show 2Checkout rather than Tabulizer or Alterora OÜ.
When we approve a refund, or receive a withdrawal under section 4, we issue the refund through 2Checkout to the original payment method; for a withdrawal, at the latest within 14 days of receiving it. The money normally reaches your account within 5 to 10 business days after that, depending on your bank or card provider.
When a refund is issued, the related membership, downloads, and premium resources are deactivated.
13. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, payment processor, membership structure, legal requirements, or business practices.
When we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. The refund policy applicable to a purchase will generally be the policy in effect at the time of purchase, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
14. Contact us
If you have questions about this Refund Policy, product requirements, supported features, or your purchase, please contact us before buying whenever possible.
